The GCSE Charity Pub Quiz

The Gecko Certificate of Secondary Education – can you pass the GCSE?

A Happy New Year from everyone at Gecko Sri Lanka! With the holidays over and everyone grudgingly returning to work, Gecko brings you an evening to look forward to with our first event of 2013. On Sunday 27th January, we offer you the mother of all pub quizzes. Bowl on down to Liverpool Street, have a few quiet drinks with your friends, and participate in an event that tests and teases every synapse in your brain. Teams can be up to 7 people, but any number under that is fine.

It’s £5 per person to play, with all proceeds obviously going to extremely worthy charitable causes. For that measly sum, you will be treated to a veritable feast for the mind. Questions will range from sport to science, history to geography, the sublime to the inane. No fewer than 8 seasoned examiners are at this very moment locked away preparing the fiendish questions for each of the rounds, which together will form the ultimate pub quiz – complete with picture questions, music rounds, and spicy bonuses.

Date: Sunday 27th January

Location: The Railway Tavern, 15 Liverpool Street, EC2M 7NX

So put it down in the diary, folks. Things will kick off at 6pm, with the quiz starting PROMPTLY at 6.30pm. Don’t forget to bring your quiz A-game. Ladies and Gentleman, you have three weeks of study leave, then it is time for the inaugural GCSE – will you pass?
